PROJECT COMPLETION | DISCOVERY LED DISPLAY TRANSFORMATION
We are proud to share another successfully completed Audio Visual project by Gaproc Media, delivered in partnership with Discovery.
The objective of this project was to modernise and optimise the existing large-format LED installation within Discovery’s impressive atrium environment, while creating a solution that was cleaner, more contemporary and better suited to the space.
The original installation consisted of an approximately 18.5-metre-wide structure, incorporating five individual LED displays, with the primary displays measuring approximately 5.8 m × 3.2 m.
Working closely with Discovery, the Gaproc Media team redesigned and transformed the installation into a significantly more streamlined dual-sided, back-to-back LED solution, incorporating:
- 2 × 11.5 m × 3.2 m large-format LED displays
- A newly designed and engineered steel support structure
- A modern black architectural finish replacing the original white structure
- Custom magnetic cladding for clean access and ongoing maintenance
- Back-to-back LED capability, allowing high-impact digital content to be viewed from both sides of the atrium
- Improved integration of the LED solution into the surrounding Discovery architecture
- A considerably cleaner and more contemporary overall aesthetic
One of the major objectives was not simply to replace the existing displays, but to re-engineer the complete installation.
The result is a purpose-built LED structure that reduces the visual footprint of the original installation while creating two impressive 11.5-metre-wide digital canvases capable of delivering high-impact corporate communications, branding, live content and event experiences.
Projects of this scale require much more than LED technology. Structural engineering, physical installation, alignment, power, signal distribution, servicing accessibility, finishing and content presentation all need to work together as one integrated solution.
The photographs tell the story particularly well — from the original white multi-display structure to the newly completed black, back-to-back LED installation.
A fantastic transformation and another project we are extremely proud to have delivered with our partner, Discovery.
