LED screens can be built to custom sizes and a variety of resolutions are available to meet sizes, viewing distances ans of course budget.
The first thing to consider when investing in an LED screen is established brands. At Gaproc Media, we only work with world leading brands to offer the client reliability and quality assurance. Brands that are locally supported by established distributors, that offer repair centers, backup stock and expert training resources.
Indoor LED
Digital Screens offer a lot of flexibility to the client. Screens can be built to any shape and size and fit into any space. Content can be amended on the fly to target various markets and above all, images are vibrant and striking and grabs the eye of the consumer.
Retail Spaces/Digital Signage
Replace the static printed signage with finer pixel pitch screens in unconventional shapes to add value to any retail store. Picture frames turn into live video, back-walls can be changed to full on digital display walls and products and promotions are highlighted to grab attention all around.
Shopping Centers
- A big source of income for any mall or shopping centre is to advertise products and services across the entire mall. With custom digital advertising, restaurants could advertise around department stores during regular hours whilst retail outlets would want to advertise in the food court during breakfast or lunch times. - Control Centre applications often requires a large display with multiple operators. Traditionally narrow-bezel LCD screens have been used in an adjacent configuration to create one large video canvass. Software applications then flexible video layouts that are able to display multiple video sources that can be enlarged or changed at the click of a button.
- With LED screens, the desired size can be reached without the bezel interference of conventional LCD video walls.
- LED screens can be built with an extremely fine pixel pitch to allow multiple smaller windows to be displayed simultaneously whilst still clearly visible.

Conferencing and Boardrooms
LED screens can add a lot of value to general boardrooms and conferencing facilities. High resolutions can be achieved to accurately display details on architectural drawings, fine details on spreadsheets. LED screens can integrate with video conferencing applications and screens can be custom built to show 2x images side-by-side. Single 21:9 Aspect Ratio or a simple single display that is surrounded by smaller displays for background or signage.
Recording Studios
- Out with the old and in with the new. Traditional green screens that formed the backdrops of many recording studios can now be replaced with LED screens to easily display any background for a video shoot.
- LED screens are very flexible and multiple adjustments can be made to match the recording devices. Extensive colour temperatures up to 15000 Kelvin can be used to create the whitest of whites whilst it can also be turned down for that warm cosy feel.
- Refresh rates of LED is extremely high to negate digital cameras recording lines or flashing.
Home Theatre
For those with the appetite for a dedicated home theatre with a true cinema feel, LED screens up to 4K resolutions can be installed and brightness adjusted to deliver the crisp vibrant video without burning one’s eyes.

Natural Elements
Outdoor screens are manufactured and sealed down to component level to ensure that it can withstand the harshest of weather conditions. The architecture of these outdoor screens also maximizes high contrast and blacker blacks.
Pixel Pitch
The Pixel Pitch of a screen is the distance between one pixel and the next. Larger pixels are more cost effective and are perfectly adequate for screens where the viewer is a large distance away. From s certain distance, the naked eye will no longer recognize pixelation. Larger pixels can thus be used to meet budget and yet delivered the perfect product to meet the customer’s needs.
Brightness
The brightness of a screen is often overlooked. Outdoor screens facing in a northern direction is exposed to direct sunlight. The Southern African climate delivers sunny days for most of the year and a brighter screen can still be visible during very bright sunny days. Lower brightness screens are more cost effective and will deliver the perfect brightness in areas with no direct sunlight.
Outdoor screens are also installed with an automatic light sensor that detects the ambient brightness around the screen. Based on the sensor’s reading, the screen brightness is adjusted. This is a crucial part of the installation process. Many other screens are not configured correctly and therefore displays brighter than normal images at night. This can have a distracting effect on motorists which can result in dire circumstances. It may also be a nuisance to neighbours or passers-by and thus not deliver the desired effect.
Rental and Staging
The rental and staging applications require screens to be mobile and easily assembled. To meet these requirements, products are built rugged and the cabinet architecture allows for easy and safe assembly. When screens are not in use, they are packed-away in protective flight-cases for protection during transport and storage.
Rental Screens are also available in a range of various resolutions and brightness levels to be used outdoors or indoors.
Our Skills
Our experienced installation teams are trained and certified with reputable brands to deliver only the best finished product. We use quality components and each screen is installed in a timeous and accurate manner. LED screens are building blocks and screen surfaces needs to be smooth without individual modules standing proud. Adjacent modules are perfectly aligned to ensure pixel matching and avoid distortion of images.
As far as possible, we use LED cabinet infrastructure. Cabinets are secured to negate module movement over time with affects screen alignment.
Maintenance
As with most products, it is important to regularly service screens. The key word is preventative maintenance. Gaproc Media offers service contracts that allow for regular cleaning, inspection and re-alignment where required to ensure that your LED screen always looks its best and prolong the life of the product.
